The Southeast Asia — Japan Cable (SJC) brings TPI together with some of the principal players in global communications to provide a high-capacity information conduit between Singapore and Japan, with branches to China/Hong Kong, Philippines, Brunei, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Facts about SJC

• An undersea cable spanning up to 10,700km in length
• Trunk cable comprises six fiber pairs, with an initial design capacity of over 15 Tbps
• Construction of the system has been contracted to NEC of Japan and Tyco of the US
• Estimated to be ready-for-service in 2H 2013
